Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the Android application Day Planner: Notes & Tasks (“DayNotes”, “the app”) accesses, uses, stores and handles information.

1. Notes and app content

DayNotes is designed primarily as a local notes and planning application. Notes, tasks, checklists and related app content are stored on your device unless you choose to enable an optional cloud synchronization feature.

2. Google user data and Google Drive synchronization

Google Drive synchronization is optional. If you choose to connect a Google account, DayNotes uses Google APIs only for the functionality described below.

Google data accessed

• Google account email address through the userinfo.email permission. It is used to identify and display the Google account connected to DayNotes.
• Application-specific Google Drive data through the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.appdata permission. This permission allows DayNotes to create, read, update and delete only its own application data in Google Drive's hidden appDataFolder.

DayNotes does not request permission to browse, read or modify all files in your Google Drive.

How Google user data is used

Google account information is used to identify the connected synchronization account. Data stored in the Google Drive appDataFolder is used only to synchronize DayNotes notes, tasks, checklists, deletion state, conflict information and related app synchronization data between devices that you connect using that Google account.

How Google user data is stored

Your DayNotes content is stored locally on your device. When Google Drive synchronization is enabled, synchronization data is also stored in the application-specific appDataFolder associated with your own Google account. Access tokens and authorization information are handled using the Android/Google authorization mechanisms used by the app.

Sharing, advertising and sale of Google user data

Google user data obtained through Google APIs is not sold. Google Drive synchronization data and Google account information obtained for synchronization are not used for advertising, ad targeting or advertising profiles.

Google API Services User Data Policy

DayNotes' use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Disconnecting Google Drive

You may revoke DayNotes access to your Google account through your Google Account permissions. Revoking authorization prevents future Google API access by the app until you connect the account again. Revoking access does not necessarily remove previously created application-specific data from your Google account.

3. Yandex Disk synchronization

If you choose Yandex Disk synchronization, DayNotes uses the application-specific folder associated with your Yandex account to store data needed to synchronize DayNotes between your devices. Yandex Disk synchronization is optional.

4. Advertising and third-party services

Some versions of DayNotes may display advertising provided by third-party advertising services. Those providers may process technical information such as device information, network information, advertising identifiers or similar data according to their own privacy policies and the consent settings available in the app. Google Drive synchronization data obtained through Google APIs is not used for advertising.

5. Permissions

DayNotes may request device permissions only for features you use, for example notifications, camera or media access for attachments, microphone access for audio notes, and network access for synchronization and online services.

6. Data deletion

You can delete notes and other content from within DayNotes. If cloud synchronization is enabled, deletion information may be synchronized to your other connected devices and to the application-specific cloud storage used by DayNotes.

You can also revoke DayNotes' Google account authorization at any time through your Google Account security and third-party access settings.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical measures appropriate for a mobile application, but no electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. Children

DayNotes is a general productivity application and is not specifically directed to children.

9. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when app functionality, data handling practices or legal requirements change. The current version will be published on this page.
